PhD, M.Couns (PsychTh), Grad.DipCouns, M.A PsychA (Cand.)

Dr. Braden Vernon is a Psychotherapist who works with individuals seeking meaningful psychological change.

Braden has extensive experience working with trauma, complex emotional and interpersonal difficulties, including longstanding relational patterns, identity concerns, emotional regulation challenges, and personality dynamics. His approach integrates evidence-based and insight-oriented therapies to support enduring psychological shifts rather than short-term symptom management.  He currently works both in private practice and in the forensic/correctional system.

Following completion of his master’s degree, Dr. Braden Vernon pursued advanced training in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy through the Maudsley Psychiatric Hospital and is a member of the International Society of Transference-Focused Psychotherapy. He is also a certified Schema Therapist with the International Society of Schema Therapy. These trainings inform a clinical style that emphasises careful exploration of internal experiences, relationship patterns, and the relational themes that emerge within the therapeutic relationship itself. Braden is committed to ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision, and is a current psychoanalytic training candidate.
