Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy
Open-ended psychotherapy offers individuals a place to delve into their inner and outer worlds, unravelling and reshaping entrenched patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. The therapy is not only focused on the present problems you may be facing, but over time delves into the origins of ones emotional suffering, which are often related to patterns, rooted in earlier life experiences. Over time, we seek to uncover these and alleviate their impact on present problems. Integral to this journey is the therapeutic relationship between patient and therapist, which is cultivated through regular sessions. As we often uncover patterns, that have been deeply ingrained over many years, psychotherapy is not a ‘quick fix’, and involves a longer-term commitment. Over this time, the therapy process supports the integration of newfound insights and experiences concerning ourselves and our relationships, paving the way for lasting changes.

Psychotherapist, MACA
Through applying evidence-based approaches from Psychodynamic psychotherapy, and schema therapy (a contemporary adaptation) my focus leans towards working with you uncovering and resolving the underlying and often intricate causes rather than solely addressing the symptoms of emotional distress. While I embrace a broad understanding of the human experience, psychotherapy has shown efficacy in addressing various mental health concerns, such as;
- Depression
- Anxiety Disorders
- Personality Disorders
- Addictive / Compulsive behaviours
- Dysfunctional relationships
- Anger
